Dedicated to providing beautiful work with care, Winans Construction is a residential remodeling firm located in Oakland, CA. Our company's work ranges from performing comprehensive interior and exterior renovations and restorations, to the building of additions, including those for kitchens, baths, and master suites. We have the ability to work with plans from a client's architect, or to provide our clients with a design/build service. Our goal is to build projects that look like they might have always been there, while carefully integrating all the modern services, finishes and fittings.

Founded by Paul and Nina Winans in 1978, Winans Construction has developed over the years into a company that is now an example for many others in the industry. Paul and Nina's company has received extensive professional recognition, including the National Remodeling Quality Gold Award, chrysalis California Remodeler of the Year, Remodeling Magazine's Big 50 Hall of Fame, and Qualified Remodeler Magazine's Top 500. Projects built by Winans Construction have also received accolades, including awards from the San Francisco Bay Area and National NARI, Remodeling Renaissance, Qualified Remodeler, PCBC Gold Nugget, Builder's Choice, California Preservation Association and Berkeley Architectural Heritage Association.

Paul Winans was apprenticed to a European master carpenter while a teenager, and has since accumulated over thirty five years of working experience in the construction field. Nina Winans has been the financial and administrative manager of our firm since its inception. With key employees having been with our company for over 20 years, Winans Construction can orchestrate a remodeling project founded on good communication, vast knowledge, and commitment to client satisfaction that is extraordinary.
